In accordance with NRS Chapter 241, the commission may: (I) change the order of the agenda, (II) combine two or more agenda items for consideration, (III) remove an item from the agenda or delay discussion relating to an item on the agenda at any time, and (IV) if the agenda is not completed, recess the meeting and continue on another specified date and time. The commission may interrupt the open meeting and exclude the public for the purpose of having an attorney-client discussion to receive legal advice and to deliberate on the legal advice pursuant to NRS 241.015(4)(c). Discussion, consideration and possible action to review the recommendation of the Lander County Hospital District Board of Trustees to appoint Kim Schacht to fill the vacancy in Seat B (the southern Lander County seat) to serve until Sunday, January 3, 2027.  The remaining 2 years of the unexpired 4-year term for Seat B which ends on Sunday, December 31, 2028 will be served by the person elected at the upcoming 2026 election.
